Understanding the Vision & The Challenge
When the project came to us, they had a very clear vision; they wanted
organic growth without
spending heavily on paid ads. Because they want people call organically to them.
After analyzing their Business, industry and target audience, I realized they were missing out on a
massive
local opportunity.
Based on their competitors, business type, and local demography, I figured out that their potential
customers are searching for local hostel and travel services on google map and search engine. So, We
decided Optimized their GMB profile to get more calls and leads. Because, GMB is great Option for
getting leads in this particular domain.
And, within in a month, their GMB calls jumped from 580 to 1109.
The Audit:
Finding the Real Gaps
Before I started working on their GMB profile, I ran a comprehensive audit to find the real gaps. and found several critical issues that were killing their chance of ranking and getting calls.
Incomplete GMB Profile
Gmb profile completeness plays first role in ranking. In their GMB profile, basic business information, services, categories, exact address, attributes, business hours were missing. Also has other things as well.
Zero Reviews Management
There were no replies to existing reviews which indicates google that you are not active on GMB. And also not good customer experience.
No Business Updates and latest photos
The profile was not updated with no new posts, offers, discount in their OTA and booking engine for a long time and no fresh photos were being uploaded, making the listing look dead to potential customers.
Unoptimized Website
Most importantly, their website was not optimized for local SEO and Google map, business name, phone number was not mentioned in the website.
Nap Inconsistency & Incomplete Citations
The name, address, and phone number were different accross various
platforms, which not
giving signals to google that this is a legitimate business.

The "Magic" 3-Step Strategy
To fix the gaps I found during my audit, I designed a 3-step action plan. This wasn't just about changing few words; it was about a changing entire digital makeover for the business.
360° GMB Profile Optimization
I started by filling out every single field available on GMB business profile. There are some important field which I was give too much attention.
- Complete Profile: I updated the business name, address, location map fix, categories, services and Business hours.
- Advanced Features:I added attributes, a full menu, and a direct booking link to make it easier for customers to convert.
- Daily Engagement: To send strong signals to google, I started posting daily updated about offers, discounts and activity in hostel.
- Fresh Media: Regularly uploded high-quality photos and videos to show that business is active and it engage with customers.
- Review Management: Responded to every single review and increase review for customers to build trust with both users and Google.
- OTA Integration: I added special discounts directly on OTA platforms and the booking engine for capturing more leads.
Syncing the website with GMB
A GMB profile is only as strong as the website it links to. I spent a lot of time fixing the
website layout and making new service and categories pages.

- Local Alignment: I updated the homepage to match the GMB profile's Business name, address, phone number(NAP), and add map. Also, I redesign complete home page change UI and UX add services section make it very attractive make sure it shows eexpertise, experience, authority and trust (E-E-A-T).
- Structure Overhaul: I created dedicated pages for each service (approx 20) and category pages to help Google understand business expertise and what actually they provide in detail.
- Internal Linking: Make sure all the services pages in their particular category connect with each other but in just their category only and link to home page.
- The "Human" Touch: I replaced generic text with high-quality, human written content that actually helps the reader. which only shows what's important. Make sure your pages don't get bored anyone.
Fixing External Signals (OTA's & Citation)
Finally, I cleaned up the business's presence accross the internet. So google understand and receive all right signals all over very business present on internet.
- OTA Clean-up: I made new listings on major OTA platforms where our business was not listed like Airbnb. Removed old blurry photos, and updated them with fresh high quality visuals.
- Consistency Check: I fixed the business name, address, phone number on every platform to ensure 100% consistency. Every platform should have same business name, address, phone number all over the internet.
- Building Citations: I created new local citations to send "Good Signals" to google, proving the business is a legitimate local authority.
- Backlinks: Make high-quality backlinks and add links to website and some of catgories and service page to high authority websites.
